We’ve answered some of the commonly asked questions about powder coating below.
Powder coating is when electrostatically charged particles are sprayed on the surface of parts with the opposite charge. The parts are then cured in an oven to provide a full, even finish.
We can currently powder coat materials to a maximum size of 7m to 2.4m, however we are currently in the process of expanding and will be able to coat materials up to 9m x 3m x 3m, so please contact the office if your item is larger than 7m and we may be able to help.
We can powder coat a variety of material such as galvanised steel, stainless steel, zinc plated steel, aluminium extrusions and a diverse range of other metals.
If the existing powder coating has had any wet spray/paint applied then unfortunately we are unable to powder coat on top of it without shot-blasting first, because the surface will bubble. If not, whether we are able to recoat usually depends on which colour the material currently is and which colour you want it to be. We do offer a shot-blasting service for small items and can recommend other shot-blasting facilities for any larger items.
